Wellington Spirit match racing skipper starts internship in Chicago

Wellington Spirit match racing squad helmsman Tim Coltman has started his internsip at the Chicago Match Racing Centre ahead of the Spirit's USA grand slam tour. Tim reports in after the first few days in Chicago.

Howdy. First week at the Chicago Match Race Center (CMRC) has been a very busy one! We jumped straight into some corporate sailing with a bunch of different companies and finished with some Harvard Alumni coming in to sail the boats.

The Wellington Spirit Sailing Team are about to announce the squad for the 2013 USA Grand Slam Match Racing Tour. The Grand Slam involves four events in August and September ... Chicago Grand Slam, Detroit Cup, Knickerbocker Cup, and Oakcliff International. Josh Junior wins bronze medal at Sailing World Cup

Hi all. I will be competing in the second Act of the 2013 Extreme Sailing Series with Team GAC Pindar in Singapore from the 11 to 14 April. For this regatta I will be in the Bowman role, some people that know me from the club may think that I would be useless in this role however Bowman on a catamaran is quite different from traditional ‘’Bow’’.

Bexhill come out on top of Wellington Spirit Business Sailing League

Bexhill have been the crowned the winners of the Wellington Spirit Sailing League. It cam right down to the wire with the last race of finals determining the winner. Even then it took quite bit of deliberating and calculating to break a three way tie with ANZ and Nedax.

Glorious conditions greeted the teams on week four of the Wellington Spirit Sailing League. Under clear blue skies and a perfect southerly breeze it was Opus who won the day although it was not enough to get them through to the grand final.

It felt like winter had arrived on week four of the Wellington Spirit Sailing League. A blustery southerly made its presence felt for all the teams doing battle out on the water. Bexhill and Nedax have both made their way though to the grand final.
