Kayak Courses

Our Kayak courses will introduce you to the joys of kayaking and equip you with the skills to cruise the harbour, paddle the marlborough sounds or take on a river expedition.

Courses begin with the introductory 'Learn to Kayak' course then moves into courses such as 'River Paddling' which gets you ready for river expeditions or ''Ocean Paddling' which gets you ready to explore places such as the Wellington Harbour, the Marlborough Sounds and Golden Bay.

We provide the canoe and kayaks, as well as the safety gear - you simply provide the enthusiasm!

Learn to Kayak

The Learn to Kayak course introduces people to the techniques of kayaking. No experience is necessary. We will cover all the skills required for your journey to become a technically correct and safe paddler. You just need to be at least 8 years old!

The Learn to Kayak course is arranged in a progressive manner to allow you to develop the techniques and confidence at an enjoyable pace with great end results.
