The Youth Scheme team consisting of Tim Coltman, Adam Middleton, Stu Williams, Mackenzie Taylor and Michael Cook have bowed out of the Warren Jones International Youth Match Racing champs in Perth at the quarter final stage.

After a tough day one losing Mackenzie Taylor to heat stroke the team bounced back on day two to win enough matches to make it through to the quarter finals. In the qaurters they came up against a local team skippered by Tristran Brown, a team that had showed some considerable form making it through the round robin phase in second place winning 13 matches in the process.

Brown came out firing in the quarters taking the quarters 3-0 meaning it was time for the Youth Scheme team to exit the competition.

With Tim Coltman the oldest sailor in crew at just 21 years old, sailors from this year's team have at least another four years ahead of them to compete in this event and will be back for sure.
