And to Deb and Geoff and their race management team ... congratulations on a job well done ... Aweseome
Knots under kite but now making our way slowly across Palliser Bay in a northerly. Match racing with Kamsin still, finally think we're ahead. 16nm to Baring head, three hours or so maybe?? Everyone cross their fingers.
Well done Merric and Becs - 3 from 3!
GO REVS!!!!
Currently 20nm north of Honeycomb Rock doing 5-6 knots. Conditions soft but they are drying out after the crashing and bashing overnight. Wedgetail about 7 miles in front but in sight.
Bar is open at the club but I think today's finishers are catching up on sleep.
Am Meer is around Cape Kidnappers and ETA from them is 2.5 hours.
Montego Bay 111 is round Cape Kidnappers, Matt gives their ETA at 1000. SE breeze looks like its filling it.
BJC
Update from Khamsin, they have had to stop fishing as they have 2 big eye tuna for the BBQ.
All good on Redline, lower shroud came undone this morning but all sorted now. 46 miles to Kidnappers - woop woop from Stu.
Revs passed Cape Kidnappers, currently doing 8.77 knots.
All good- Spag on toast for brekkie in 10-15knot northerly
sked is up.
Keep the hard work up... look forward to seeing you all soon
20miles sth Honeycombe rock breeze NE 15knots all good
Southerly 20 knots easing to variable 10 knots early morning. Northeast 15 knots developing mid morning, then rising to 25 knots for a time this afternoon and evening. Sea becoming rough for a time. Southwest swell rising to 3 metres for a time offshore. Poor visibility in morning drizzle.
Crew are now heading out to the boats for their on water preparation for the 1pm start. Good luck all and see you in Napier!

Reaching with 8 knots of boat speed in 10 knots of wind
I wonder if the boats further out will do better with that breeze than those inshore? Maybe Revs will head out on the SW?
